No respite from heat wave for 3 days; Assam maximum temperature is 37.8 degrees Celsius

GUWAHATI: Although there is a possibility of slight rain in Assam and the neighbouring states in the next three days, the temperature is likely to remain above the normal temperature by 3-5 degrees Celsius. In the next 2-3 days, the temperature in Guwahati is likely to go up to 39 degrees Celsius.

Today, the maximum temperature in Assam was 37.8 degrees Celsius, in Shillong it was 28.6 degrees Celsius and in Itanagar it was 33.8 degrees Celsius.

The Regional Meteorological Centre has warned that thunderstorm and lightning, along with gusty winds with wind speed upto 30-40 km/hr, are very likely to occur at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and Mizoram.
